Special Programs

The CONFAP-Brasillinois Collaborative Grant, funded in partnership with CONFAP, aims to foster innovative research through collaborative projects between faculty at the University of Illinois System and universities and research institutions in participating Brazilian states. This grant supports and provides up to $20,000 in funding for successful applicants at Illinois. The participating funding agency in Brazil will fund the budget of the partner faculty in Brazil. Eligibility

• The applicant must be a full-time faculty member at the University of Illinois System.
• The applicant must meet all institutional criteria and have the necessary support from their department.
• The applicant must apply for a grant request of no more than $20,000 from Brasillinois.

PI Requirements

• The applicant must submit a mid-project report detailing progress, results, and any adjustments needed in the course of the project. This will occur one year into the two year project.
• The applicant is responsible for collaborating with their department's Business/Budget Officers to manage the funding and prepare necessary budget reports.
• The applicant must comply with any required training or compliance documents, as set forth by the universities and state and federal laws.
